CAPE TOWN – Cape Town City has roped in its former captain Lebogang Manyama as assistant coach.
The Citizens announced on Tuesday that Manyama will assist coach Eric Tinkler as he joins the technical team.
The 33-year-old is no stranger to working with Tinkler, as the two worked together after John Comitis bought the club in 2016 when Tinkler was appointed head coach.
“Cape Town City is delighted to confirm the appointment of former club captain Lebogang Manyama as an assistant coach in Eric Tinkler’s technical team. Welcome home, Lebza!,” said the club’s statement.
The Tembisa born made his professional debut for Ajax Cape Town in 2010 and since played for several clubs in the Premier Soccer League, including Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United.
