Roldah added, “Running has been a transformative journey for both of us. It’s taught us discipline, resilience, and the importance of community. As pacers, we aim to inspire others to experience the same joy and fulfillment that running has brought into our lives.”

Beyond their personal achievements, the Orries are deeply involved in the running community.

Besides being a board member of the world renowned Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon, Ashraf has been instrumental in establishing the Plumstead Neighbourhood Run Crew, a group formed in response to safety concerns in the area.
